Baserow Receives €5 Million Seed Funding for No-Code Database and Application Building
Dutch startup Baserow, specializing in open-source no-code database and application building, has successfully completed a seed funding round of €5 million. The investment is led by Inkef Capital, with additional contributions from firstminute capital, Seedcamp, Frontline Ventures and prominent angel investors, including Job van der Voort (Remote), Martin Henk (Pipedrive) and Shannon Williams (Rancher Labs).
Mission and Technical Innovation
Baserow offers organizations the ability to build their own no-code databases and applications through an intuitive, spreadsheet-like interface — without technical knowledge. The platform is open-source, can be deployed both as SaaS and via self-hosting, and offers API-first integration for seamless workflow automation.
With the new investment, Baserow aims to accelerate the development of premium and enterprise features, including role-based access control, SLA support and advanced user management options.
Who Is Baserow For?
Baserow targets a wide range of users who want to accelerate their processes without depending on expensive development teams or vendor lock-in:
- Startups and scale-ups: quickly build data-driven products or internal tools.
- SMBs: who have outgrown spreadsheets and need scalable databases.
- Enterprises: flexibility through self-hosting and custom extensions.
- Governments and non-profits: where transparency and data ownership are important.
- IT and innovation teams: looking for an open-source alternative to Airtable or Notion, with full control over data and security.
